by Ryan Gruenholz on 10/30/2014 - 02:55 pm
Category: Fishing Report and Forecast

Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report!  Winter is quickly approaching, and the fish are sensing thechange and moving down with the temperature changes and the bait.  Sails, Kings, and Wahoo were all on the menu this past week, and you can officially say that the winter-time pelagic are here, or at least well on their way. Not a ton of shots per day just yet at the Sails, but if you put your time in you will surely get a couple.  These odds increase every day as well, soit is only going to get better as it gets colder above us.  The Kings and Wahoo’s are here, as well as a lot of the offshore Tunas are moving into the deep edge of the reef ...

Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report!  It has been a windy one down here this past week, but it would appear that the weather is supposed to get nice for the weekend!  That is great news with all the rain and wind, plus the tropical activity that seems to keep turning into the Atlantic.  We have been very fortunate this season, so we are appreciative of that.  As for the Fishing, it remains solid and is shaping up to be a great transition into winter.  Starting with the Swordfishing, only a couple boats made it out last week with both boats catching Swordfish up to 125 pounds.  The seas were rough, but the guys toughed it out and brought ...

Hello all and welcome to this week’s Islamorada fishing report!  This week in the upper Florida Keys has been great!  The Blackfin Tunas have been out of control!  Live bait has been the method of choice, while the artificial have been working well too.  In addition to the insane Tuna bite, the Mahi have showed back up, so the offshore scene has been on fire!  If that is not enough, the Swordfishing has been great too!  Two to Five hookups per trip has been the norm this week on the Swords, and the weather is looking pretty good going into the weekend, so everyone should be able to get out.  I could be picky and say I wish the wind wasn’t going ...
