Wreck fishing
An exciting day always awaits locals and tourists in Florida. The lush foliage and glistening waters alone are enough to provide scenic lookouts to take troubles away. However, if you wish for something a lot more physically engaging, you can take part in one of the state's most favorite activities: fishing. Below are things you need to know about exciting fishing trips in Florida.
Offshore fishing

Week of 1/7/13 - Islamorada Florida K...

by Ryan Gruenholz on 01/11/2013 - 12:00 am
Category: Fishing Report and Forecast

Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report! The deeper edges of the reef this week has been pretty productive with the larger Blackfin Tunas moving into the 150 to 300 foot depths, and have been pretty productive on the troll and slow live bait drift. There have been a few Mahi mixed in with them as well as a few Sailfish, so putting your time in has been paying off. A little closer in the Sailfish bite has been pretty decent as well, with several boats raising them on the kites and live Ballyhoo. The Kingfish have yet to show up in hordes, so I will post on that when it gets better. There are some around, but not nearly as thick as we would like. Wahoo have been a welcomed ...

Hello everyone, and welcome back to this week’s report!  How about the fishing this past week, as the Sailfishing action was pretty good!  Lots of fish off the deeper edges of the reef this week in primarily 120 to 250 feet of water.  Nice edges have been built up in these areas with nice defined edges of healthy Sargasm weed, which have been holding good numbers of Sailfish and Mahi’s.  Some really nice Mahi-Mahi have been passing by so if you are concentrating on these areas, then your box was looking pretty good!  Some really good Blackfin Tuna action as well, as these tunas have been feeding in this weed, so there has been a ton of action out there. & ...

In fishing tournaments, professional bass and walleye fishermen make their living by competing. However, competing is not simply enough. They would have to be successful or at least place in the money. In order to win tournaments, professional fishermen would have to use different fishing techniques to get their catch.
The bass fish or more commonly known as black bass is one of the popular species of fish used in game fishing. They are known as strong fighters and are resistant when hooked. A technique used for catching black bass is the spinner baits. The spinner bait includes the use of R-shaped lures, a silicone skirt and a blade. They are most versatile of all bass lures and are effect ...

Category: Fishing Report and Forecast

An angler can learn as many Islamorada fishing techniques as a samurai can learn different ways to handle his katana. Both share some similarities, such as discipline in learning various techniques, movement of the arms and hands, and the right time to strike. If you plan on making it big in the fishing business, you have to learn the way of the fishing rod. In the long run, these skills can help you haul in a good catch.
Spin casting
If you are just starting, the spin casting technique is one of the basic fishing techniques you can master. Using an imaginary clock diagram, the angler takes aim at the two-o'clock position, raises the rod at the one-o'clock position, and throws the lu ...
